"Improving Your Production Toolbox"
Join us for two days of educational programming for individuals and companies with horticultural interests in Oklahoma, Arkansas and surrounding states.
Bill Lamont, from Penn State has researched areas include cultivar evaluations; feasibility of growing new crops in high tunnels and in plasticulture systems; sustainable and organic production of various vegetable crops; and tomato breeding. He setup the first and succeeding educational seminars and workshops on "Using Plasticulture Technology for Intensive Production of Vegetable Crops."
His most recent interest has been in helping to establish high tunnels in the City of Philadelphia to promote the production of nutritious vegetables and winter production of greens and other crops for the city's population. This involves a wide array of partners from city government, schools and a host of non-profit organizations.
