Spring Dead Spot Disease, Winter-kill and Weed ID Workshop to be held on Tuesday, May 13. The workshop located at The Botanic Garden Educational Center will run from 9AM until Noon covering various topics by OSU Scientists and Specialists. Location: OSU Oklahoma Botanic Garden Education Center, approximately 1 mile west of Stillwater, OK.

CEUs: The program has been submitted for review for possible pesticide applicator continuing education (CEUs) in Oklahoma Categories 3a (Outdoor ornamentals and turf) and Category 10 (Demonstration & Research). A decision is pending at this time.

9:00 am – 10:00 am Spring dead spot disease biology and management – Dr. Nathan Walker,  Turfgrass IPM Scientist, Education Center Building at The Botanic Garden, OSU, Stillwater.

10:15 am – 10:45 am Winter kill of bermudagrass putting green trials, Field walking tour of the bermudagrass research putting green at the Turfgrass Center, The Botanic Garden, OSU, Stillwater.

 

10:45 am – 12:00 pm Weed ID Tour and Disease ID Tour – Dr. Dennis Martin, Turfgrass Specialist & Dr. Nathan Walker, Turfgrass IPM Scientist. Field walking identification/management tour of weeds and diseases in turf at the Turfgrass Center, The Botanic Garden, OSU, Stillwater.
