The Landscape Management program prepares you to pursue careers in landscape construction or landscape management. Earthwork, grading and site drainage, irrigation installation, lighting, parking lots, retaining walls, plazas and plant materials are just a few of the activities of this chosen profession. Landscape managers deal with maintenance of irrigation systems, walkways, lighting and other hardscape and landscape features. You will schedule and supervise landscape maintenance activities such as pruning, pest control, fertilization and a wide variety of other cultural practices.

Learn basic business practices pertinent to the Landscape Management profession such as bidding and estimating, personnel and financial management, accounting and marketing. All Landscape Management students participate in an internship to get hands-on experience under the guidance of an industry professional.

Emphasis on the construction and management phases of landscape development, plant material, environmental applications and structures. This program is accredited by the Professional Landcare Network.

 You may choose an emphasis in design or in management. The management emphasis allows you to obtain a minor in Management through the OSU Spears School of Business. A minor in Horticulture may be competed with proper course selection regardless of whether you choose the design or management emphasis.
